Onsite Harmonic Measurements

Onsite harmonic measurements are higher frequency currents and voltages which are superimposed on the fundamental waveform, creating a distorted wave pattern. Power quality analyzer is used to carry out the power quality and harmonics measurements. The parameters such as voltage, current, frequency, waveforms, power parameters (KW, KVA, KVAR), power factor, harmonics, interharmonics, flicker, voltage events, over-voltage, under-voltage, transients, inrush and energy consumption are recorded during onsite power quality measurements for analysis.

Nonlinear loads such as power electronic equipments, VFDs, electronically commutated (EC) motors, rectifiers, computers, LED lights, EV chargers, UPS, convertors, etc. causes harmonics in the network.

Onsite harmonic measurements and analysis are carried out to identify the root cause behind this harmonic distortion and provide recommendations to improve the power quality of the system. Active harmonic filters are used to suppress harmonic distortions and maintain good power quality.
